Grades 3 and above are going to the Spring Challenge! Don't know what that is, check this out:

Carroll County Public Schools will hold the inaugural Spring Challenge on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Westminster High School. The Challenge is intended to keep the spirit of the Special Olympics alive by giving students with disabilities an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of athletic events.

The day’s activities will include the typical Special Olympics events, as well as dribbling, kicking, striking, rolling, overhand and underhand throwing, agility, and balance. The athletes will be able to walk around and try all of these activities at their own pace. In addition, the athletes will be provided with pedometers to challenge them to get in as many steps as possible during the event.

It's January and time for the latest version of The Kangaroo. Sorry it didn't go out last week but we were waiting for information on the upcoming Prom Fundraiser. The date is set for February 7, 2023 at Oscar's in Eldersburg. More information will follow as it becomes available.

Due to pending inclement weather, Carroll County Public Schools will be opening 2 hours late on Thursday, December 15, with a re-evaluation by 7:15 a.m.
