Hey, readers! Our first Battle of the Books meeting will be Wednesday this week right after school in the library! Bring a friend because we are starting fresh—all of our previous students have graduated! We have four books in this first genre to read as a team, and our first battle is not until November. If you haven’t heard, today is Mrs. Brown’s last day! It is a bittersweet change since she’s been Mrs. LaRue’s partner in the library at Mountain Range since 2013!! It is definitely going to be different without her here welcoming students every morning and managing basically everything with ease and grace. We all wish her the best as she tackles a new position at a new school, but she doesn’t really need the luck. Mrs. Brown always knows what needs to be done without being asked, and she does so much behind the scenes to help keep things running smoothly. She’s been a huge asset to The Mountain (especially for Mrs. LaRue!). But, her kindness and approachability may be missed the most…she offered a listening ear and kind heart to both students and staff. She will be missed terribly, but we’re so excited for her new opportunity. Good luck, Mrs. Brown!! Your new home is lucky to have you!!

It's time to start of the 26-27 Battle of the Books! We are rebuilding after previous students graduated, so all are welcome! We will have three battles plus a final. First up, we will have our Mystery and Realistic Fiction battle at Thornton High in November (bur virtual is an option, too, if you can't make it to another school)!!

Seniors should return all books and chromebooks May 4 through May 6. Everything is due now unless you are taking an AP class. Then, you can return things after your AP test.

Lost Chromebooks are a $150 fine. Lost chargers are a $20 fine. Lost library books and textbooks vary depending on price.
