Past Times for Children Class/HSCC

Our Story

This class is for children ages 4 to 9 and is taught the third Saturday of each month at 216 East Main Street next to the Historical Society of Carroll County Shellman Museum Shop and Bookstore. It is about what life was like in Carroll County MD in the 1800's.
Classes are $6 each or if you become a Time Traveler and register for 6 classes at one time, it becomes $5 a class and your child receives a Time Traveler suitcase and a gift at each class attended. Registration must be made the Monday before the class.
Classes are created, taught and directed by Wendy Raith. Wendy earned her Early Childhood degree from University of Maryland, College Park and taught in Baltimore City Public Schools for several years. She has volunteered in Carroll County elementary, middle and high schools and has taken her program Past Times for children to Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, Boys and Girl Club and to first grade classes. She has been teaching Past Times for Children monthly since 2012.
