Wildcats for the Wright Cause Wildcats for the Wright Cause exists to remember and honor John Wright, our MS Science teacher who d

In the Fall of 2010, our teacher/co-worker, John Wright, was diagnosed with Leukemia. At that same time, our school also had two students, Andrew and Jonathan, that had been battling cancer, and it left our school community feeling helpless and asking, "How can we all help?" and "What can we do?"

Although two of those amazing people lost their battles with cancer in 2011, we continue to come toge

ther, like a family, to walk, to remember, or to just enjoy the company of Woodrow's one-of-a-kind community in a fun- filled day. Through funds raised with the Wright Cause Bake Sale (in the Fall) and Wright Cause Walk (in the Spring), we support current student and staff needs for financial help while battling cancer, with hopes of raising enough funds to open this to parents, as well! The question is, why wait for something to happen to help, when we can all come together and be prepared to help if something does in the future?

~In memory of our JDubbs and Mr. Brave...Gone, but never forgotten, and for all people who have battled, are battling, or lost their battle with that horrendous enemy we call cancer, we will always walk for you.

Hey Wildcats! SAVE THE DATE for the 10th (can you believe it?) Annual Wright Cause Walk on Friday, May 8, 2020, from 3:30-5:30 pm. We hope you will join us in raising funds for the Wright Cause Benevolence Fund (funds are used to support students and close family members suffering with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses), and remembering Mr. John Wright, our beloved Middle School Science teacher who passed away in May 2011 after fighting a battle with leukemia.
