Happy feast of Our Lady of Knock!
.
In 1879 Our Lady appeared in Knock Ireland along with St. Joseph, St. John the Evangelist, and a lamb standing by a cross surrounded by angels.
.
The apparition lasted for two hours and had 15 official witnesses. An estimated 1.5 million people visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Knock every year.

Our Lady of Knock, pray for us!

McDaniel certificate program turns alum into a STEM leader | McDaniel

I saw it resonate in my students in class and with myself in the certificate program,” says Hoerl. “So much of learning is self-discovery, which I saw by having my students solve open-ended problems while I learned to take this new approach to teaching that was very hands-off, similar to teaching art.”
Way to go Mrs. Hoerl and St. John Students!

Oh, most beautiful flower of Mt Carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of heaven, blessed mother of the son of God, Immaculate Virgin: assist me in my necessity.
O Star of the Sea, help me and show me, here you are my mother. Oh, holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth: I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succor me in this necessity (state the request).
There are none that can withstand your power. O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Holy mother, I place this cause in your hands.
Amen.
