Good Shepherd Preschool Westminster We have a huge natural outdoor environment where the children learn and explore on a daily basis. The students are also exposed to the Zoo Phonics Program.

Good Shepherd uses A Core Knowledge Curriculum based on 10 areas of brain development. These structure tools are used by the teachers to make their lesson plans as they prepare activities for their children's learning around the State Foundations and Core Federal Standards. The children's spiritual development is strengthened by the Fruit of the Spirit activities. Each fruit represents a tool in c

haracter building. We also incorporate nature into our program on a daily basis. Our program is about creating nurturing outdoor spaces with a wide variety of natural materials and textures. The children have opportunities to experiment, touch, smell, etc. and to expand and /or challenge their creativity by doing more hands - on activities. We have an edible garden and animals to care for. The children plant, and help harvest the fruits, and vegetables, and feed the animals.
