The La Quinta Marching Aztecs (LQMA)’s 2022 Field Show Production, “Reflections,” performed at the GGUSD Showcase of Bands on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022.

LQMA competed in the CSBC and WBA circuits. At the 3A CSBC Division Champs, they earned 5th place (out of 29) qualifying them for CSBC State Championships the following weekend. There they earned 8th (out of 16) with a score of 85.350.

Thank you to everyone for the support throughout the season by chaperoning, preparing/serving food and snacks, fixing props, transporting and helping push items, and fundraising to support the program.

Fireworks Booth will be from JUNE 30th (set up) - JULY 4th !!!

- June 30th: Set Up Day from 11AM-6PM
- July 1st - July 4th: Selling from 10AM-10PM

For the fourth consecutive year, GGUSD has been named a Best Community for Music Education from the NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. This distinction has been earned through the hard work and dedication of GGUSD's 60 music teachers along with our incredible team of school site and district administrators, and our Board of Education's unwavering support for the arts. The arts are alive in GGUSD!

The Marching Aztecs were happy to be back on the field yesterday in their first field competition since November 2019.

At the CSBC South Coast Invitational, we earned 2nd place in the 3A division with a 73.45.

LQMA wants to say "good bye" and a huge "thank you" to Allan Tan and Connor Yasuda for their amazing contribution to our program. These two individuals were a special part of the magic that happens at LQ as they have completed 9 years on our instructional staff. Other than being the best instructors/caption heads, they go above and beyond to make thing happen including working on props. We wish them well in their future endeavors, and they will always be a part of our LQ family!
