Poor eyesight is the most common handicap in the world and often people suffer in silence because they can’t afford glasses. At Eye Love Care, we give people a hand up by helping them get their glasses at an affordable price so they can move forward in life with clarity and confidence.

The ā€œNo Vision Left Behind Programā€ is one of a kind! It was put into action to bring Optometry Care to underserved students. Eye Love Care is partnering with more and more schools every month to bring the NVLBP into their community to ensure every student has the correct vision to learn, as well as to have any ocular disabilities or eye diseases addressed. If you can’t see it, you can’t learn it!

How it works: Eye Love Care partners with a school where we bring in full optometry lanes along with Doctors of Optometry and a support staff. We perform full comprehensive eye exams on all the students whose parents sign them up, and we provide glasses to those who need them. We aim to see these students from Kindergarten through 12th grade as long as they attend a school we have partnered with. If the child has insurance it will be billed. Should the child not have insurance or is underinsured the cost will be covered by ELCs Indigent Program.

Eye Love Care’s goal is to ensure that ALL children are getting the proper vision care they need to succeed.
Eye Love Care will be with your child through their complete educational journey K-12. If your child damages their glasses during the school year or summer, just inform us, and we will make them a new pair and either deliver it to the school/childcare facility or, during school breaks, have it available for pick up at our Peak Vista location. We look forward to serving your child this year!

And, say one last hello and welcome to Jonathan Rethinger! He will be joining our English department! Learn more about Mr. Jonathan Rethinger Below!

I’m Jon. When I started teaching, the year started with a 19 and students still passed origami notes. I am thrilled to be at Mountain Range where I am ready to present students with big challenges and new opportunities. I love musical theater, the Pacific Northwest, and adult night at the zoo. I do not like commercials at the movies or ā€œguac is extra.ā€ I’m a devoted advocate for mental health and believe that there are few pains a purring cat 🐱 cannot ease. Eager to see what the new school year brings!

Say hello to another familiar face on the Mountain, Joshua Carpenter! He joined us mid semester last year, and we're thrilled that he's returning! Hear more from this creative educator below!

Ah, hello there! You can call me Carpenter, everybody's favorite creative chaos teacher! :) Colorado and Adams 12 have been home all my life and am beyond thrilled to start my second-year teaching after earning my BFA in Art Education from MSU Denver in 2025. I love all things art, but you'll most often find me covered in paint or clay, creating right alongside my students. When I'm not creating, I'm most likely getting lost in a fantasy book, frolicking in the mountains, spoiling my dogs, or geeking out over some nerdy obsession (I have like a lot of them). Above all, I love learning and trying new things - my most recent side quests include learning to juggle and writing my first novel! So, without further ado, I hope you're all ready for a year full of curiosity and unforgettable artistic adventure!!! Who knows what we will create together!?!

We have a new ELD teacher, Brent Hicks! Please welcome Mr. Hicks to Mountain Range, and you can hear from him below!

Hi! I’m Brent Hicks, and I’m excited to join MRHS as a CLDE teacher. When I’m not at school, you’ll probably find me at the gym, exploring Colorado with my husband, Samy, or trying to convince our two pups, Lola and Perla, that they’re not actually in charge of the house. I’m originally from Richmond, Indiana, and I can’t wait to get to know the amazing students, staff, and families at MRHS. Looking forward to a great year!

Please welcome Katie Stouder, who may be another familiar face on the Mountain. You have had her in your Social Studies class last year. šŸ˜‰ Here's a little more from Ms. Stouder!

Hello! I'm Ms. Stouder, and I will be teaching Social Studies this year. I enjoy doing anything outdoors, especially hiking! I love to craft and read when I have free time, and sometimes try a new recipe! I'm from South Denver and graduated college from CU Boulder. I'm excited to be here!
