🇺🇸❤️ We hope all of our families had a fun, safe, and memorable Fourth of July weekend!

Today at Summer School, our students kept the patriotic spirit going with a festive Fourth of July parade! 🎉 From creative decorations to smiling faces, it was a wonderful way to celebrate together and build lasting summer memories.

🌺🦁 Aloha to Summer! 🦁🌺
On our last day of school, our Lions celebrated with a special clap out surrounded by current students, staff, retirees, and former Schmitt students who returned as graduating seniors. What a meaningful way to end the year and celebrate the journeys that connect us all.
As our 5th graders take their next steps toward middle school, our seniors prepare for new adventures after high school, and our retirees begin a well-earned new chapter, we are reminded that every ending is also a new beginning.
Thank you to our students, staff, and families for an incredible school year filled with learning, leadership, growth, and memories.

🎓🦁 We are so proud of our 5th graders and all they have accomplished during their time at Schmitt. From academic growth to leadership opportunities, they have left their mark on our school and shown what it means to be respectful, organized, accountable, and resilient. 🦁🎓
As they begin their next journey in middle school, we know they will continue to do amazing things. While we will miss them, we are excited to see all that the future holds for the Schmitt Class of 2026.
Congratulations, Lions! We are proud of you and will be cheering you on every step of the way. 💙💛

🎉💙🦁 Last week, we had the privilege of celebrating our amazing retirees! 🦁💙🎉
We honored their years of dedication, service, and commitment to the students, families, and staff of Schmitt. Their impact on our school community is immeasurable, and they have helped shape the lives of countless Lions throughout their careers.
While we will miss them dearly, we are excited to see them begin this new chapter and enjoy all the adventures that retirement has to offer.
Thank you for everything you have done for Schmitt. Your legacy will continue to inspire our students and staff for years to come. Once a Lion, always a Lion! 💛💙

🚀🔬🦁 Our Lions had an amazing time exploring STEM with the Westminster High School MERITS program!
Students visited a variety of interactive booths and learned about rocket launching, magnetic energy, wiggle bots, lava lamps, species of cockroaches, trebuchets, women in STEM, and even the art of origami. As they explored each station, students completed their STEM Passports and engaged in hands-on learning experiences that sparked curiosity and creativity.

To top it all off, three lucky students won STEM kits to build and explore at home! 🎉

A special thank you to the Westminster High School MERITS students for sharing their knowledge and passion for STEM. It is inspiring to see high school students mentoring and encouraging our young Lions to dream big and explore future possibilities.

🍊🌳 Our Lions had an amazing time learning from Farmer Jackie of Old Grove Orange Farms! Students learned about the hard work that goes into growing and harvesting food from the farm to our tables. We also discovered that many of the fresh fruits and vegetables we enjoy at lunch come from Farmer Jackie’s farm!
Thank you, Farmer Jackie, for sharing your knowledge and helping our students connect learning to the world around them. What a memorable experience! 🧡🍊
