We had the opportunity to recognize two incredible members of our arboriculture community at the annual RMC Conference in Westminster last week!!!

Congratulations to Matthew Puckett, Forester for the City of Colorado Springs, on being named the Rocky Mountain Chapter ISA Arborist of the Year! This award recognizes Matthew’s dedication to arboriculture and the impact of his work within our region!

We also celebrated Mary Tiernan as they wrap up their term as President of the Rocky Mountain Chapter. Thank you, Mary, for the time, leadership, and energy you’ve given to the Chapter and our members throughout your presidency.

We’re fortunate to have arborists like Matthew and Mary helping strengthen and move our industry forward. Please join us in congratulating them both!!!

Yesterday, RMC members got together for a TreeStuff Party in Sterne Park!

It was an afternoon of climbing, sharing stories, teaching each other new tricks, learning a few ourselves, and getting our hands on some new climbing gear. We even got to celebrate someone’s first climb ever!!!

A big thank you to Ryan Bartlett and Sanctuary Tree for sponsoring the event and keeping everyone fueled with cookies and drinks!! And a big shoutout to South Suburban Parks and Rec for helping out with the park permitting!

It was a fun, smooth, and safe day of climbing - and a great way to keep the momentum going after the RMC Conference and as we head into ITCC week!!

Thanks to everyone who came out, climbed, shared their knowledge, and made the day such a good one!!

Another Rocky Mountain ISA Annual Conference in the books!!!!

We had a great few days in Westminster catching up with RMC friends from across the region, meeting some new friends, and learning from a diverse lineup of speakers. This year’s keynote speaker was Craig Bachmann, a former RMC member who is now based in Seattle. It was great to welcome him back to the Rocky Mountain Chapter!!!

The conference also included our silent auction benefiting the TREE Fund. Thank you to everyone who donated and bid to help support tree research and education!!

And thank you to all of our speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and attendees who made the conference possible. We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did!

Here are a few photos from the week!
