Medical Intervention students are analyzing digests of PCR products to determine their genotypes for a single base pair mutation. Individuals with this mutation cannot taste the bitter chemical PTC. Students also test their phenotype by tasting paper strips with the chemical on the strip. We had 3 tasters in lab today!
