Our Fall Reading Challenge has begun! The top earner and the top reader (can be two different students), will receive lunch with Principal Moth! Each student who registers will receive a prize. Any student who reads 500 minutes (that is less than 20 minutes per day), or more during the month-long challenge, will receive another prize. Registering, reading, and logging minutes is FREE, so your student can earn prizes even if they don't receive any pledges.

Use the link below to register your student(s), log minutes, and collect pledges online from now until the end of the challenge on September 25th. All money raised will go back to the school to fund field trips for students, enrichment programs, teacher and staff requests, and any other various needs throughout the school year.

Back to School Night is today, August 17th from 4:00-5:30.

This is a chance for you and your student to meet the teacher, see their classroom, and get information about this school year.

4:00-4:30: Welcome from the Principal and PTA in the gym

4:30-5:00: Session 1 in Classrooms

5:00-5:30: Session 2 in Classrooms

Session 1 & Session 2 in the classrooms will be the same - you only need to attend one session. Have more than one child? No problem going to each classroom.

After, the PTA is hosting a playground get-together from 5:00-6:00pm with snacks and friendly faces.

Reminder - Kona Ice will be there. 🍧

Hello Betty Adams Community -

Hard to believe, but we are two weeks away from the first day of school!

We want to pass along the school supply list, which can be found below and on our website.

Back to School Night is on Monday, August 17th from 4-5:30pm where you can drop off supplies and meet your teacher. Also - Kona Ice will be there. Can't make it? No problem bringing everything to the first day of school.

Looking forward to seeing students and families soon! 🏫

Tomorrow, Thursday, May 28th is the last day of school with an early dismissal at 12:05pm. Lunch will be served. Please make arrangements for your student to be picked up at that time.

If your student rides the bus, the bus will run on an early dismissal schedule and will pick up at 12:05pm.

Kindergarten families - you are welcome to take your student home after Continuation if you would like.

Join us at Skate City Arvada (5353 W. 64th Ave.) for our final event of the year TOMORROW - Thursday, May 21st, from 6-8:00pm!

FREE ICEE for every paid skater!

Enjoy a lower price and no crowds -- only $7 admission! We've reserved the rink just for Betty Adams and Semper Elementary students, families, staff, and friends. Skate rentals are available for $5. Skate aids are available on a first come, first served basis. Concessions (including pizza, hot dogs, and nachos) are available for purchase.

After years of love, laughter, hard work, and dedication to our Adams Eagles, we are celebrating the retirements of two truly incredible staff members, April Schmitt and Darcy Hassler! 🎉💙🦅
April has spent years feeding and nourishing our students with a smile every single day, serving up all their favorite meals and making the cafeteria feel like home.
Darcy is truly a jack of all trades and an amazing leader who has helped generations of Adams Eagles read, conquer math, and grow into confident learners through her dedication, kindness, and countless talents.
Please join us in celebrating these two wonderful women on May 20th at 3:00 PM on the Betty Adams Art Patio as we thank them for the love and care they have poured into our school community over the years. Adams will not be the same without them, but their impact will be felt for years to come. 💙

- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday - Buy One, Get One (BOGO) book fair in the library!

- Thursday, May 14th - students showcasing what they have been working on for "Student-Led" conferences 3:00-5:30pm at school.

- Friday, May 15th at 8:00am - last "Coffee With the Principal" in the library.

- Friday, May 15th - students will celebrate during the school day with the annual Glow Party! If you're able to help set up on Thursday or tear down on Friday, please sign-up below.

The now, annual tradition of the Betty Adams Glow Party is happening this Friday, May 15th for students during the school day. Student Council is asking for volunteers to help set up after school on Thursday, May 14th and take-down after school on Friday, May 15th. Set up will include helping prepare games, placing white paper on walls, and bringing tables from the library to the gym. No problem if your student joins you to help!
