Here, they use colorful scarves to demonstrate high and low melodies, incorporating whole body movement to solidify their understanding. At NCCS, our students have numerous opportunities to apply what they've learned beyond the classroom. During our morning meeting this week, the students collaborated to make blankets for Project Linus. It is a non-profit organization that provides handmade blankets to children aged 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or in need. 💞

After a reevaluation, North Carroll Community School will be closed today, Tuesday, January 7, 2025. This is the second of our five built-in inclement weather days.

Join us Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. for Tuesday for Tots! It's a free monthly event specifically designed for 3-5 year olds. We'll have a read-aloud session, craft time, snack break, and play activities. Don't miss out on the fun! This is open to the public so feel free to share!

This week students in Mrs. Carrick's Class dove into the fascinating world of sound energy and invisible waves. 🔊🌊 Through hands-on learning, they explored how sound travels and the power of unseen forces all around us. This interactive approach is exactly how school should be—engaging, inspiring, and full of discovery!

In an abundance of caution due to the impending winter weather, NCCS will dismiss students at 2:00 this afternoon, 1/3/25. Please ensure students are picked up by 2:15.

The shuttles will drop off at their usual stops and will be the first vehicles to leave the parking lot at 2:00. ABC Care will still take students for aftercare.
