Gleaners Community Food Bank will host a drive-up/walk-up distribution at Adams Middle School (33475 Palmer Road, Westland 48186) on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 2 - 3:30 p.m. near the back of the school.

Anyone in need of food is encouraged to attend and receive 30 pounds of nutritious groceries, like milk, fresh fruits, vegetables, lean protein and other shelf-stable items. No appointment is needed.

Just a reminder, we have a half day of school tomorrow, Wednesday, November 27th. Dismissal will be at 12:10pm. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends!

Don’t even worry about figuring out what you’re having for dinner tonight!! We figured it out for you!! Come join us at Buffalo Wild Wings in Westland from 11am - 12am (there was an error on the flyer) and help our 5th graders raise the costs for their camp next month! It’s a win/win!

This includes afternoon and evening activities including middle school conferences.

Remember - Champions is still open, even on snow days! IF ALREADY ENROLLED, all you do is show up at Marshall Upper Elementary School. They are open 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Please use the back entrance (ring doorbell on the marked metal door) by the playground. They provide the kids pizza for lunch! Please label all belongings!

2. Trunk R Treat Vehicles Needed! We need your help to make this a success for our families. Please see Mr. Sullivan or email Kelly Dunn at [email protected] by Friday, October 25th!

3. Crazy Hair Spirit Day on Friday, October 25th! Bring a bag of candy for trunk r treat and wear your craziest hair!

4. Box Top Wars! Round One will be individual classrooms against each other and will take place until October 30th.

Please send in all paper Box Tops, and remember to keep collecting and scanning your grocery receipts on the Box Top App withing 14 days of purchase so that your child's class gets credit. The winning class will get an ice cream party provided by the PTO!

NEW: when families use the Box Tops app to scan their store receipt, they can "Give Credit" to an individual, classroom or grade level. To "Give Credit" make sure you have the latest version of the Box Tops app, scan your receipt, then tap the star icon to enter your teacher's name.

5. Our first book fair of the year is October 28 - Nov 1! A flyer will come home in your students folder. Please contact [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering!

6. First Skate Night is Friday, November 1st! The Roller Roo Mascot will visit Edison students at dismissal near the front of the school on each skate night date!
