🏆 Adams Middle School made its mark on the NATIONAL stage!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Jackson Vincent-Fowler and Ethan Molitor for their outstanding performances at the 2026 National History Day Competition!

Jackson earned an Honorable Mention and was recognized among the Top 20 in the Nation for his Junior Individual Exhibit, “A Ripple of Revolution: The Salmon Revolution and the Reform of Michigan’s Ecosystem.”

Ethan also earned an Honorable Mention and was recognized among the Top 30 in the Nation for his Junior Individual Exhibit, “From Pines to Progress: Michigan’s Lumber Revolution.”

These young historians advanced from Adams Middle School to compete against some of the very best students from across the United States and eight countries. Their success reflects their curiosity, perseverance, scholarship, and countless hours of hard work.

We also want to recognize the Adams staff, families, and National History Day advisors who supported these students throughout their journey. Achievements like this are possible when talented students are surrounded by people who believe in them and challenge them to reach higher.

🎒✨ What a great night at our Back-to-School Fair! ✨🎒

We loved welcoming our families back for an evening filled with fun, food, community connections and school spirit! More than 2,000 families joined us, enjoying dinner, connecting with community partners, and heading home with a new backpack and water bottle to start the school year ready to go. 💙

📚 AIM FOR 8! 🎯

Every school day matters! This year, Wayne-Westland Community Schools is launching our Aim for 8 Attendance Campaign to encourage students and families to make regular attendance a priority.

Our goal is simple: Aim for 8 or fewer absences during the school year.

When students are in school every day, they have more opportunities to learn, build relationships, participate in activities and stay on track for success. Even a few missed days can add up and make a difference.

Wayne Memorial High School football players are showing that being a great teammate goes far beyond the football field!

Today, our student-athletes delivered backpacks from the Family Resource Center to our elementary schools so students who need one can start the school year ready to learn and ready to succeed. 🎒📚

We are so proud of these young men for stepping up, giving back and supporting their younger classmates. On and off the field, our student-athletes are amazing!
