Westland Free Methodist Preschool

Registration for 2025-2026 school year has begun. $25 non-refundable registration fee until June 15 then it goes up to $50. Tuition costs have been raised to adequately meet the staffing requirements due to minimum wage increases.

Tuition costs are:
3 days a week $2565 for year ($285 per month for 9 month)
2 days a week $2070 for year ($230 per month for 9 months)

If the tuition for year is paid in full by Sept 1, a 15% reduction to $2180.25 for 3 days a week and $1759.50 for 2 days a week.

A $100 off for one month tuition will be given to anyone who refers a child who enrolls and attends the preschool.

Missed posting R week last week. We had a good time painting the rainbow fish with celery, celebrating red day, looking for rectangles, recycling and making food in our Red Robin Restaurant kitchen.

This week is V week with making a volcano erupt, pretending to be mail carriers passing out valentines and veterinarians taking care of pet and having vegetables for snacks.

This week is C week having fun with caterpillars, circles, circus and crazy hair. Monday is Crazy Hair Day and Wednesday the children will be circus performers and put on a circus for parents, grandparents and others.

This week is “W” week with White Day on Wednesday, camping in the Woods and winter fun ice skating, snowball fights and shoveling “snow!

Christmas Break is almost over. School resumes Monday January 6th. It will be J week. Monday will be Jeans, Jewelry and Jersey day as we have a field trip on Wednesday to the Fire Station. Other activities will include creative play with different jobs such as fire fighters, police officers, artists, doctors, nurses, etc. Look forward to seeing everyone again!

This week is week one of Christmas Fun. Learning the songs for our Christmas program, Christmas crafts and letter review are on the agenda!

Monday Dec 2 is the deadline for turning in your picture order.

This week is fun with Letter “H”. Hibernation, hedgehogs, a hermit crab visit and toilet paper tube hair cuts. Hat day on Wednesday.

This week is “D” week with lots of fun learning about dinosaurs, dogs, diamond, a Dunkin Donut shop and other “D” activities. We also have parent teacher conferences on Monday and Wednesday.

We arrived back in Michigan late last night. Had a great time, especially sharing it with Karen and Dillon. The flying with a dramatic time difference was the hardest part. I am ready to get back to my normal schedule and look forward to seeing all the kids and grownups.

A big THANK YOU! to my staff for filling in during my absence as well as the understanding having to cancel a couple of days with me being gone and Mrs. Ortell getting sick. I am thankful that she recovered in time for Noah’s Ark Parade and N week.

This week is “T” week with a tea party and T-shirt day on Wednesday. Parent Teacher conferences are around the corner so please sign up. Also November tuition is due this week.

This week will have lots of fun learning with the letter “L”. It finally seems to be fall and a great week to learn more about leaves including with our field trip to Nankin Mills on Wednesday. Merriman Road entrance to Hines Drive is closed so you wlll have to either enter at Newburgh Road and turn right onto Hines Drive or use the Ann Arbor Trail entrance and turn left onto Hines Drive.

Pictures are reschedule for Monday but Letter L will still have lots of learning with lizards, leaves, letters. legos, lemons, limes and lines and beautiful playground weather.

Mrs. Henke will not be at preschool starting Friday Oct 25 through Nov 2. She will be enjoying a Danube River cruise with some family members. There will be other staff members in place to make sure the kids will continue their learning experience.

This week is “P” week. Lots of learning about pink, purple, peacocks, pumpkins, pine cones and how a pendulum works among other P things. Picture Day is Monday and Pink, Purple, Plaid and Polka Dot day is Wednesday. Always a lot of learning disguised as play.

The field trip to Plymouth Orchards was a lot of fun from the bee dance to the farm animals!

Friday the kids had a great time with the new blue chalkboard door on the playground and practicing their throwing with some new balls.

This week is “O” week. Orange Day on Wednesday and the beginning of parent teacher evaluations.
