Hi, I’m Hollisha Smith, proud owner and Executive Director of

I started Caring Hands in August 2016, but the dream started much earlier.

Since I was 8 years old, I knew I wanted to open a childcare center.
At 10 years old, I was teaching children’s church and falling in love with guiding little hearts and minds.

When I attended Lee University, I studied Human Development (K–8 emphasis) with a minor in Psychology. During college, I ran the school nursery and continued growing my leadership in early childhood education.

Through the pandemic, while many programs closed, I kept pushing forward.
We adapted.
We protected families.
We stayed open when our community needed us most.

Today, Caring Hands serves families with love, structure, and a commitment to excellence. This is not just a business to me — it’s my calling.

My mission has always been simple:
To create a safe, nurturing, creative environment where children are cared for, loved, and prepared for success.
