With the generosity of our community, the Westlake High School Caring Closet has begun to fill up! THANK YOU!

There are still several items on our wish list and a new need that arose.

𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐘:
In addition to the online wish list, the Caring Closet is accepting donations of new or gently used/like new men’s shorts and pants in adult sizes M-XXL.

Please launder all “gently used/like new” items before dropping off. Donations can be dropped off in the WHS vestibule Monday–Friday, 8 AM–3PM, ATTN: CARING CLOSET

Go to https://tinyurl.com/WCPTAflowers to order from Westlake Council of PTAs’ Fall Flower Sale fundraiser! Place your order by Thursday, Sept. 10.

This fundraiser is in partnership with Dean’s Greenhouse. Choose from a beautiful assortment of mums in various colors and sizes, straw bales, cornstalks, and more! You can also purchase gift cards. All proceeds go to support students across the district.

Pickup is Thursday, Sept. 24 at the Westlake Board of Education, 4:00–6:00 PM.

WALK-IN SALES AT DEAN'S:
If you prefer to choose your items in person or explore the full range of all that Dean’s offers, walk-in sales will be included in our fundraiser through Oct. 15. Be sure to mention Westlake Council of PTAs at checkout.

The Westlake High School Caring Closet is a safe, confidential place where students can get immediate assistance with everyday necessities during the school day, including personal hygiene products, clothing, and snacks.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐭?
The Caring Closet is confidentially coordinated in the building by the school clinic staff and counseling office. Students and families with specific needs are encouraged to contact their WHS counselor (https://www.wlake.org/our-schools/westlake-high/counseling).

Currently, the Caring Closet is accepting donations of tissues, disposable 8 oz cups, small bottles of water and small pre-bagged snacks like pretzels, popcorn, goldfish crackers, granola and protein bars.

𝐌𝐫. 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬' 𝐀𝐮𝐠. 𝟏𝟕 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐒𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞:
"Westlake High School will be having its annual Open House Tuesday, August 25th, from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. We will meet briefly in the Performing Arts Center to introduce our administrative and counseling teams. Parents will then follow their child’s schedule and hear brief introductions from our teachers regarding the specifics of their courses. Copies of your student’s schedule will be provided to you when you arrive.

This event is optional but a great way to experience a little of what your child does every day so please consider joining us on this night. If you are unable to make it, please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher anytime throughout the year if the need arises."
