🎡🐄 Cal-Cam Fair Fun with our class! 🎶🍕

Today was such a fun day with our class at the Cal-Cam Fair! We had an absolute blast making memories together. ❤️

From riding the rides 🎢, petting the animals 🐐🐑, listening to live music 🎶, and enjoying some good ol’ pizza 🍕, it was the perfect day to step away from the classroom and just enjoy each other’s company! And to top it off, on a Friday, a 3 day weekend at that!

Seeing everyone laughing, smiling, and having fun made the day even more special. These are the moments and memories that make school so much more than just what happens inside the classroom. 🥰

So thankful for a day filled with sunshine, laughter, fun, and memories with our class! 🎡🧡

✨ A Special Guest with a Special Gift! ✨

We had a very special guest stop by our classroom today, and he came bearing an amazing surprise! 💙 Mr. Keilynn ! He generously donated a few pairs of shoes for our students to enjoy!

What makes this gift even more special is that Keilynn opened the door to something much bigger, the possibility for everyone to be included when it comes to giving back. ❤️ Giving doesn’t have to look a certain way, and you don’t have to have a lot to make a difference. Sometimes, something as simple as passing along something you no longer need can bring so much joy and opportunity to someone else.
And that is living the RAM way!

It is truly a gift to be able to give to others, and today Keilynn reminded us just how meaningful that gift can be. We are so grateful for his kindness, generosity, and for showing our students that everyone has something special to give. 🧡

Thank you, Keilynn, for making a difference in our students’ lives and for helping us create a classroom where everyone is included, everyone is valued, and everyone has the opportunity to shine! ✨

🌳🎨 A Little Creativity in Our Classroom! 🎨🌳

We had another very special guest visit our classroom today! 💚 We were so excited to welcome Mrs. Joy, who came to read us the sweet story I Love Trees. 📚🌳

After enjoying the story, we got to put our creativity to work with a fun painting craft to go along with the book! 🎨✨ Our students painted their very own colorful trees, and we absolutely LOVED seeing all of the unique and beautiful creations! 🌈🌳

A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Joy for spending time with us and bringing so much creativity, joy, and fun into our classroom today! We are so thankful for special guests who make learning even more meaningful and memorable for our students. 🥰💚

🎮🌧️ Rainy Day Fun with Our New APE Coach! 🌧️🎮

Rainy weather didn’t stop us from having an AMAZING time today! Our new APE Coach brought a super cool interactive video game for the kids to enjoy, and let’s just say… THEY LOVED IT! 🤩🙌

It was the perfect way to get moving, have fun, and stay active while we were stuck inside because of the rain! 🎮🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

We are SO excited to welcome our new APE Coach and are looking forward to an awesome school year filled with lots of fun, movement, and new experiences! 🧡🖤

📚✨ A Special Storytime Visit! ✨📚

Today we were SO excited to welcome back our special guest, Ms. Marylin Monroe, our wonderful local librarian from the Calcasieu Parish Library! ❤️

This was Ms. Marylin’s first visit back to our classroom for the new school year, and we were thrilled to see her! We are already looking forward to having her back many more times throughout the year for lots of fun, learning, and, of course… STORIES! 📖🥰

Today, Ms. Marylin shared several fun books with us:

📚❤️ A Trip to the Ram Library! 🐏📖

We made our first trip of the year to the Ram Library today, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🥰 We look forward to visiting Mrs. Fontenot every week for stories, activities, games, and lots of fun!

The library is definitely ONE of our favorite classes at school! 💕📚

Today, Mrs. Fontenot read us My Mouth Is a Volcano! 🌋📖 — a fun and very important story about learning when it’s the right time to speak and when we need to be calm and listen.

After the story, we joined in on an activity where we had to decide which situations were a “volcano” 🌋 and which ones were calm 🌊. Our students did such a great job!

Then we played a fun game of old maid and a game of Candy Land!

A BIG thank you to Mrs. Fontenot for welcoming us back to the library!❤️ We always enjoy our time with you and can’t wait to see you again next week!

🌵🎨 A Little Creativity + A Lot of Fun! 🎨🌵

Today in class, our students got to put their creativity to work with a Cactus Painting Challenge! 🌵🖌️

Each student created their very own cactus masterpiece, and then it was time for the tough part… JUDGING! 👀🏆

A huge thank you to Mr. Shoemake and Mrs. Mindy for being our guest judges and helping us choose the winning artwork, they also had no clue who painted what and had to find the mystery painter! We had some seriously talented artists in the room! 🎨👏

We are so proud of our students for putting their own personalities and creativity into their paintings. Activities like this give our students an opportunity to express themselves, have fun, practice following directions, and celebrate their accomplishments with their classmates. 💙

And let’s just say… these cacti definitely brought some personality to our classroom! 😂🌵

Great job, everyone! We are already looking forward to our next creative challenge! 🖌️✨

🎉 WELCOME BACK, RAMS! 🐏🧡
The night before the first day back at school!!
And we are SO excited to see our students! We hope everyone had an amazing, fun-filled summer and is ready for another wonderful year at Westlake High School!

We have been working hard getting everything ready, and we have SO many exciting things planned for our students this year! 📚✨ We can’t wait to learn, grow, laugh, make memories, and celebrate all of the amazing things our students will accomplish.

To our students: We missed you! 💙 We hope you know how excited we are to have you back and how proud we are to be part of your journey.

Here’s to a new school year filled with growth, success, friendships, confidence, and LOTS of reasons to smile! 🥰
