The Growing Place

The Growing Place Our preschool is play-based and focuses on teaching concepts through hands-on experiences. We offer Parent & Toddler classes and drop-off programs for ages 2-5.

The Growing Place teaching philosophy is based on active learning. Teachers facilitate activities in an environment that fosters self-expression, independence and respect for others. Students are stimulated to explore, share ideas and build on and expand their knowledge. Teachers prepare activities that allow students to manipulate the materials and formulate their own conclusions based on their p

revious knowledge, their new observations and the ideas of both other students and the teacher. The goal is to create a stimulating environment where students are engaged in joyful learning. Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s learning. Regular communication through newsletters, conferences, and occasional home visits help facilitate that partnership between home and school. Questions and suggestions from parents are always welcome. Together we provide a learning program that helps students develop a love of learning that will enable them to grow to their full potential.

Our Mommy & Me aka Parent/Toddler classes are registering for Fall 2026. If your child is born between Sept 2024 - Aug 2025 (younger class) or Sept 2023 - Aug 2024 (older class) we have a fabulous program for you! A unique program with a special purpose, for your child to interact with other children of the same age and to interact with you. Your presence serving as a bridge from home to school.
