A strong singer isn’t automatically a strong musical theatre singer.

And a kid who is fantastic inside an ensemble may still have a lot to learn about standing alone and owning a song.

That’s why Vocal Performance and Musical Theatre Foundations are two different classes at BTPS.

🎤 Vocal Performance develops the individual singer.

🎭 MTF teaches performers to integrate voice, acting and movement when everything is happening at once.

Different muscles. Different training. Both matter.

Because ultimately, we’re not just trying to build singers.

We’re building complete performers.

A strange thing for the owner of a performing arts studio to say:

Your kid probably doesn’t need more classes.

They need the right training.

We’re much less interested in seeing how many classes we can squeeze onto a performer’s schedule than we are in figuring out:

What are they already strong at?
Where are the gaps?
What skill would actually unlock the next level for them?

Sometimes that’s voice.
Sometimes it’s acting.
Sometimes it’s dance.
Sometimes it’s simply learning how to put all three together.

That’s what we mean by building a training pathway.

Competition Team is changing this year… and I think it’s going to make the program significantly better. 🎭

Instead of building toward a competition, resetting, and starting over again, our teams will now train together for the full August–June season.

More time to train.
More time to grow as an ensemble.
More flexibility for families.

Every performer will participate in at least one competition opportunity, with the option to do both, and we’ll bring everyone back together for our Year-End Competition Showcase.

The goal isn’t to compete more.

The goal is to train better.

Competition Team callbacks are this Saturday, and I’m VERY excited about this group.

There is nothing like the Magic of Live theatre! Now that we have closed Wonka, we can reveal the Factory Reveal that we worked so hard to create! The audience reaction was well worth the wait as our performers journeyed into Wonkas Factory for the first time! Proud of our incredible Production Team, Set, and of course the cast for bringing this world to life!

Okay… it’s official. 🎭

We’re launching the Born to Perform Day Conservatory this fall for homeschool and charter students.

The goal is to create a real daytime home base for creative kids: a place to work, train, collaborate, make friends, and be surrounded by other young artists during the week.

⏰ 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
🎨 Performing arts + artist development
📚 Structured independent work time
🤝 Community + creative projects
💙 Founding Cohort now forming

Founding-year tuition is $395/month, or $295/month for qualifying All-In / Competition Package students.

We’ve also opened a $100 Founding Cohort reservation so families can hold a spot while planning their fall schedule. The reservation is applied toward the first month of tuition, and if we don’t launch the cohort, it is fully refunded.
