My heart is aching. I just went to the grocery store and my food bill has literally doubled since my college son came home for the summer. I'm not complaining AT ALL. My heart is so full having him home! The food cost does hurt the pocketbook BIG time, but we are able to tighten our belts in other areas and manage without hardship. The reason my heart is aching is today's weekly food bill got me thinking even more about all the children who rely on school breakfast and lunch - and who may be facing serious food insecurity over the summer. Does your community have any ways to address this important need? I'd love to learn as much as possible about the needs and how Right Road Kids and I may be able to help. It's out of our typical realm of expertise and work, but I've found that when something is on my heart, it's important to help in any way I may be able. Lifting up so many prayers for all the children, families, and everyone facing food insecurity. ❤ Paula

TEACHERS! ❤ ANNOUNCING the educator gift recipients from all of the past week’s Right Road Kids giving fun… SEE THE PICTURE! 😃 Make sure to read these important and *required* details so you know how to respond if you are a recipient this week:

💙 1. If you have not already done so (*OR* if you need to update your school or email info), take a sec to sign up as a Right Road Teacher Friend on our website with your current email and school info by the end of day tomorrow (WEDNESDAY, MAY 27th): https://rightroadkids.org/sign-up/ . Recipients need to be signed up with their CURRENT info, so if in doubt, we suggest you re-sign up. The sign-up is required for our nonprofit accountability and our gift mailing system. (NOTE: Amazon Wish Gift recipients have for sure already done this.) Please also note that due to our small (but mighty!) nonprofit team and the sheer number of gifts we mail each week, we are not able to accommodate late responses. Thank you for understanding our need to have these guidelines in place.

💙 2. Amazon Wish Gifts have already been shipped via Amazon Prime and are due to arrive to those recipients at the address on file with their Wish Lists within the week if they have not already.

💙 3. Because school districts start summer break at all different times, we are now in summer *HOME* gift mailing mode for ALL GIFTS – even if your school is in session in June. (As shared in Point #2, this is not including the Amazon Wish Gifts which have been already shipped directly from Amazon to the address on file with each wish recipient's list.) If you are a recipient of ANYTHING OTHER THAN AN AMAZON WISH LIST GIFT, just private message me your HOME address on our Right Road Kids page by the end of the day tomorrow – WEDNESDAY, MAY 27th. (To protect teachers’ privacy, we manually input home addresses and never keep them on file after gifts have been sent. So even if you have been a recipient and we’ve mailed a gift to your home address before, please private message your current address.) These gifts will be mailed out to the recipients (who have signed up as shared above in Point #1) from us here at Right Road Kids to their home the week of June 1st. Please make note on your calendar that expected delivery of these gifts should be around mid-June.

💙 4. If you know any of this week's recipients and can let them know, that would be very helpful. We never want a teacher to miss out on receiving their gift because they didn’t see these recipient details.

*SURPRISE,* TEACHERS! 🧡 I’ve been very touched by how many educators new to Right Road Kids found us as a result of this month’s Amazon wish-granting. June’s wish-granting isn’t for a couple of weeks yet, so I just felt led on this special day (Memorial Day) to do some *EXTRA* May wish-granting. 🪄😃 TO SHARE YOUR LIST for a “sprinkle” consideration, here are the details:

💙 1) Comment your school, city, and state ALONG WITH the link to your current Amazon Wish List on this post (and follow our Right Road Kids page if you don’t already) – and while I don’t know exactly how many sprinkles I’ll give today, it will be at least a good handful.

💙 2) Because these gifts will be shipped directly to the teacher recipients via Amazon Prime, participants also need to be signed up with us as Right Road Teacher Friends on our website ( https://rightroadkids.org/sign-up/ ) to qualify. That way we have confirmation for our nonprofit accountability that each recipient is an educator. (No need to sign up again if you’ve already done so – UNLESS you need to update your email or school info.)

💙 3) Wish List items need to be for student and/or classroom needs, and a shipping address needs to be on file with your Amazon Wish List – so the gift can be shipped directly to you from Amazon if a wish is selected to be granted from your list. (Since school is out or will be soon for many schools, I suggest making sure your HOME address is assigned to your list to avoid delivery challenges.) Also make sure your list is in public “share” mode so it can be viewed. (Lately, many lists have been in “collaboration” mode and not viewable. As a helpful reference, if your list’s link is a lot longer than other teachers’ links, that probably means it’s in collab mode.)

💙 4) I will personally reply to your comment with the expected delivery date if a wish has been granted from your list.
