I tell men in my life, "Never trust a man who won't show you his scars--especially the one caused by hubris, stupidity, or disobedience.
Scars are ingrained truths, woven into our hearts. Too many men show each other their avatar. Avatars only have tatoos. Graham Cooke has suffered much more than most good men I know. And like truly good--and wise men--he has picked up his share of critics...sadly. from religious opinionators on the sidelines I read and listen to his sage messages often.

This quote reminds me how John's Gospel presents Christ and The Logos as the embodiment of "Truth" 110 times. His word means REALITY in the original language. "Anxiety" (psychobabble for fear) is one of satan's bedrock--and most successful strategies to shape a World's message/images around God's adopted child to amplify NON-existent fear of 'not enough', 'missing out'; 'Terrors of the night', and the surity of unpreventable forboding--the oncoming arrows of fate--GPS'd to His Beloved's heart and wallet durIng the day. None of which is real or remotely tethered to reality.

Yes! Misunderstanding this truth was at the heart of the shift in the mid 70's feminist movement that first was focused on liberty for women as God created them...freed from narrowed and often diminished opportunuties and restrictions from the just fruits of merit-based opportunitues. This was the 1969 Steinum NOW phase. Its success soon spawned several radicalized "ME-TOO'S" by the 1975--including NOW, wherein Steinem resigned--with a warning.The focus shifted to animus (a rebellion/legaly forced empowerment/entitlement above men--and the general usurption of the male/husband/father/leader using the broad, highly organized intimidation schemes including the "patriarch-fool" in entertainment, and the pervasive false propaganda that mothers were far better parents than fathers. That began the age of 50% divorces through 2000-whereby our justice system caved to the lies and courts "awarded" custody 85% to the mother and whom commonly were awarded sole legal custody in a large percentage of these cases. Today we are 3rd in the world with the highest %'s of fatherless "households" only behind Thailand and Kenya (70%). So true. The etymology of forgiveness is "to let it go". Yet our rumination and resentment prone culture is so quick to cancel--to judge--even close family members during a dark moment-- or traumatuc season in their lives. It is a far cry from Jesus' command to forgive 70 times 7. No wonder the top of chart psychological illness today is loneliness...Is it not time to be deal with the parasite of resentment--which makes you the prisoner--and let it go?
