💙 WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The Elrick Primary School Parent Council is a friendly, supportive team working alongside the school, helping to connect parents, staff and our wider school community.

We’re here to listen, support and help make a difference for all our children. 💙

📅 COME ALONG TO OUR AGM

Our Parent Council meets once a term, and all parents/carers are welcome.

Come along, find out what’s happening in school, share your views and see what we’re all about. It’s a great opportunity to meet other parents and find out how you can get involved.

⭐ JOIN THE COMMITTEE
We currently need volunteers for two key roles:

👑 CHAIRPERSON
💰 TREASURER

Please don’t be put off by the titles. Our outgoing Chairperson and Treasurer will provide full support, guidance and a smooth handover, along with the full support of the existing committee.

You won’t be doing it alone 💪

⚠️ These roles are vital. If we can’t fill them, we risk losing our Parent Council — and the important support, funding and opportunities it provides for the school and our children.

Have an idea, a useful skill or simply some enthusiasm? We’d love to have you!

No matter how much time you can give, every contribution — big or small — makes a difference.

🎪 GET INVOLVED WITH EVENTS
Help at a disco, design a poster, bake a cake, donate a raffle prize, plan golf days or simply buy a ticket — there are lots of ways to help.

💰 WHAT DO WE HELP FUND?
Each year, the Parent Council helps provide and fund things such as:

📚 Software licences & books
💻 New digital equipment
🎨 Arts & crafts supplies
🌱 Support for groups such as the Eco Committee
⛑️ First aid training for senior pupils
⚽ Play equipment for all ages
🚌 Subsidies for buses & class trips
…and much more!
💙 EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS
You decide how much time you can give. Whether you have lots of time or just a little, there’s a place for everyone.

It’s a fantastic way to meet other parents, support our children and make a real difference to life at Elrick Primary School. 🥰

Big Welcome back to our returning families and we look forward to getting to know our new families joining us at Elrick Primary School.

We hope everyone is settling in well and we look forward to having another great year! 🤩.

🌟 Gentle reminder 🌟: Dogs in the School Playground

Please be reminded that dogs should not be exercised on the playing field or brought into the school playground, even when they are on a lead.

Some children feel anxious or frightened around even well behaved dogs and we want to maintain a calm, clean and safe environment for everyone.

As another school year comes to a close, we’d like to say a huge thank you to all our parents, carers, staff and, of course, the pupils for getting involved in the Parent Council’s events and activities throughout the year.

Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve raised an amazing £10,000 this calendar year! 🎉 Along with funds carried over from last year, we’ve been able to invest over £15,000 back into the school to enhance our children’s learning and experiences.

This year, Parent Council funding has helped support:
⭐ Subsidised school trips
⭐ Buses and transport for school outings
⭐ iPads and technology
⭐ Coding programmes
⭐ Outdoor learning equipment
⭐ Sports equipment
⭐ And much more!

Whether you attended an event, volunteered your time, donated prizes, sponsored us, bought raffle tickets or simply helped spread the word, every contribution has made a real difference. We simply couldn’t do it without you.

We hope you all have a fantastic, well-deserved summer break and enjoy making lots of wonderful family memories.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the 2026/27 academic year, where, with your continued support, we hope to keep making a positive difference for Elrick School and all of its pupils.
