As we settle into the new school year, we're taking some time to introduce you to the teachers and staff who make St. Mary’s Parish School such a special place. 💚💛

Let's welcome Ms. Cassidey Kida to St. Mary’s Parish School! 🍎

Ms. Kida joins our faculty as our new 3rd Grade teacher. She earned her master’s degree in Elementary Education from Elms College, a Catholic college in Chicopee founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield. Our school was founded in 1898 with five Sisters of St. Joseph serving as our first teachers!

Ms. Kida is passionate about creating a classroom where students feel welcomed, supported, and confident in their learning. She looks forward to getting to know her students, building strong relationships, and helping each child grow throughout the school year.

⛱️ Outside of school, Ms. Kida enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and spending time at the beach. She is also a proud dog mom to Bo and Dasher! 🐶

➕ Our first graders are building their addition skills! Today they used little foam squares to find different ways to add up to 10. It's a great way to make math a little more concrete! 😊

🦃🏃 Turkey Trot is back! Our students will be walking, running, and trotting their way around the course while raising money to support our school. 💚💛

Turkey Trot is our biggest fundraiser of the season, and your support helps provide fun new learning experiences, special events, and resources for our students. We're grateful for every pledge and every share! 🍂

Thank you to all of our St. Mary’s families who came out for our Founders' Day Block Party at St. Mary's Parish! Our Kids Kreations vendors shared their creativity and our Saints Family Fellowship team welcomed everyone with lemonade and popcorn. 🍿

Our members gathered for their first meeting of the school year to elect officers and begin planning ways to serve our school and wider community. We’re looking forward to seeing what these young leaders can accomplish together! 🌟🤝

Our Student Council held its first meeting of the new school year today, getting organized, reviewing responsibilities, and looking ahead to a busy fall.

St. Mary's Founders' Day Block Party is this weekend, and we already have several service projects in the works! 👏
