ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Town of Blandford seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant to provide complex clerical and administrative support services to the Town Administrator and the Board of Selectmen. Desirable qualifications include Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred with two to three years experience in a responsible clerical or administrative position, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience to provide the minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Hours generally Monday and Thursday – 19 hours/weekly; flexibility on remaining time. Some evenings required. $15 to $18 an hour – wage commensurate with experience. The University will be hosting State Senator Don Humason and Hampden County Sheriff Nick Cocchi at a reception tomorrow (Thurs. Sept. 20). President Torrecilha will also speak. It's a great opportunity to hear from local officials running for election in this midterm election season!

Town of Blanford seeking P/T Admin. Assistant:
We have an opportunity or opening for a part-time, up to 20 hours per week, administrative assistant to the Board of Selectmen (3) and the Town Administrator for the Town of Blandford. A town of approximately 1200 people with a $4,000,000 budget. This would be an excellent opportunity for a student in PoliSci or Public Administration to take advantage of and to gain experience in working in a role that gains insight into public administration, small town politics, and managing interactions with various elected local boards, state elected officials,appointed boards, volunteer boards and town employees, and preparing for All Town Meetings and Special Town Meetings. Work would be conducted Monday evenings (Selectboard meetings) and during the day.
