Please note: Dr. Amy Egan will assist with finding a placement but it is each student’s responsibility to find an acceptable placement in the community and to negotiate the arrangements with the agency. Do not contact agencies until you have been accepted into the Practicum.

A teaching position with NECC may be a great fit for Westfield State alum or upcoming graduates. We are open to all majors for our entry-level teaching position. We have some really great benefits available to employees –such as starting with 5 weeks of paid vacation, and there are two on-site graduate programs and one Ph.D. program where tuition is significantly covered and all of the classes are taught right at the center.
NECC will have a table at the WSU virtual career fair on Wednesday, March 3rd and I would love to talk to your students!! I think this would be a great time to learn about NECC and explore other career options too – I would really appreciate you encouraging all your students to attend the virtual career fair –March 3rd, 1 pm-4 pm and to visit the NECC virtual table! I will personally be attending the fair and if some students show interest, but are not able to attend please feel free to give them my contact information.

Help: We have psychology majors interested in internships this semester, but due to Covid, many organizations are not accepting them. We are looking for sites for our senior psychology majors, most are interested in counseling for adolescents/adults or want to work in the criminal justice, but reach out if you have anything. To help, please email Dr. Amy Egan at [email protected].
