🎸💰 We’re ROCKIN’ our way to $45,000! 💰🎸

Our Cool Creek kids and families have been working hard to raise money for our Rock-a-Thon, and we are SO excited to share that we’ve already raised $21,000! 🎉🙌 Every dollar raised goes directly back to our school to support our students and make Cool Creek even better!

Some of our rockin’ fundraisers have already earned some pretty awesome Nee-Doh prizes…and, of course, CeCe had to stop by and check them out! 🪿💚 She gives them a BIG honk of approval!

And the rewards are already piling up! 🎉 Here’s what we’ve unlocked—and what we’re still working toward:

🛝☀️ Kindergarten playground debut! ☀️🛝

Our kindergarteners got to be the very first students to play on their brand-new kindergarten playground today! Even though it was a hot one, they had the BEST time! 😎💦

Lots of smiles, giggles, and playground fun made for a pretty perfect day! 💚☘️

📚✨ Once upon a time… our 2nd graders finished their Tall Tales & Fables unit! Today, they brought their learning to life as students and teachers dressed up as characters from their favorite stories. 🐢🦊🐻

What a fun way to celebrate the end of a fantastic unit! 🎉📖

🍊 Learning with All Five Senses! 👀👃👂👅🖐️

Today, our 4th graders began thinking about how writers can use sensory details to bring their writing to life—and they started with a delicious hands-on experience!

Students explored an orange using their sight, smell, touch, taste, and even sound to notice and describe details. They practiced putting those observations into words before applying the same thinking to their writing.

And, of course, CeCe had to come check it out! 🪿🍊 She could smell the citrus all the way down the hallways, so she followed her senses to see what was happening! Once she arrived, she put her own senses to work and joined our 4th graders in exploring the orange. 😉

It was educational, engaging, and—best of all—tasty!

We love finding ways to make learning memorable at Cool Creek! 🌿☘️

Our teachers have been busy getting ready, and they are SO excited to welcome you to Meet The Teacher Night for grades 1-5.

🗓️Tonight, September 3rd
⏰Session 1: 6:00pm
⏰Session 2: 6:45pm

Teachers will be in their classrooms and will give the same presentation both times, so families only need to attend one session! We’re offering two times to make it easier for families with more than one child in grades 1-5 to visit multiple classrooms.
📝 A few important notes:
• Meet the Teacher Night is for parents only
• You’ll have a chance to learn more about your child’s classroom, routines, expectations, and the year ahead.
• Come ready to get a peek at what makes your child’s classroom special!

One of the best things about a new school is watching teachers learn, collaborate, and grow together! 💙

Our 1st grade team is already making a BIG splash! With two team members brand new to 1st grade, they decided to dive into learning together. Mrs. Ewen and Miss Buzan first watched Mrs. Harshman and Mr. Byers lead the lesson, then jumped in to co-lead alongside them!

The pictures capture a beautiful moment of professional learning in action—Mrs. Ewen mirroring Mrs. Harshman as she learns.

This is what collaboration looks like: teachers opening their doors, learning from one another, trying something new, and supporting each other along the way. 🌊

At Cool Creek, we know that we don’t have to figure it all out alone. When we learn together, we make a bigger splash for our students! 💦

Our 5th grade students have been putting their creativity, collaboration, and engineering skills to work during science! 🧠✨

Students worked together to create some amazing playground designs, thinking like engineers as they planned, problem-solved, and brought their ideas to life. 🛝 And during an Index Card Engineering Challenge, they put their teamwork and creative thinking to the test as they designed, built, and improved their creations! 📇🏗️

We love seeing our Cool Creek students work hard, think big, and learn together! 💙🐾
