The Westfield Taxpayers Association in collaboration with Westfield State University, the Westfield News, and the Republican Newspaper are hosting a Westfield Mayoral Candidate Forum on October 20th at 7:00 PM.
Incumbent Mayor Don Humason will face off against Retired Westfield Police Captain Michael McCabe.
The moderator for the debate will be former Western Massachusetts news broadcaster Ray Hershal. The questions will be asked by Lisa Okscin, President of the Westfield Taxpayers Association, and Michael Ballway, Editor of the Westfield News.
Each candidate will be able to introduce themselves, answer questions, and clarify their position on topics of interest to Westfield voters. The questions have been prepared by the Westfield Taxpayers Association and the Republican Newspaper and will center on current local issues.
The hour-long forum will take place on the Westfield State Campus in Scanlon Hall. For those wishing to attend in person, you must arrive by 6:30 PM as the televised and live-streamed event will begin promptly at 7:00 PM. Masks are required for those attending in person.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Voters may request absentee/mail in ballots up until Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 5:00 PM.

Yesterday, the Westfield Water Commission approved a water rate change to go into effect 7/1/21.
Water usage will be billed in a tiered rate structure.
Remember, now is the time to start watching any outdoor watering usage.
