🦋 THURSDAY ACTIVITY | THE LITTLE HELPER CHALLENGE 🌟

No fancy supplies. No complicated setup. Today’s activity is already hiding somewhere in your everyday routine! 💜

The Little Helper Challenge is all about giving your little Butterfly one safe, age-appropriate way to participate alongside you.

👶 Babies: Narrate what you’re doing and allow them to safely explore an appropriate object connected to the activity.

🧸 Toddlers: Try putting toys into a basket, carrying lightweight items, or matching socks.

🌟 Preschoolers: Try watering a plant, organizing toys, sorting laundry, or helping prepare safe items for mealtime.

And grown-ups, forget about perfection!

A crooked stack of toys or mismatched pair of socks isn't a failed activity. 😂 The goal is to let children participate, practice new skills, build confidence, and experience the pride of saying, “I helped!”

Meanwhile, you get to discover a little more about what your child is capable of.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN PARENTS SOLVES EVERY PROBLEM FOR THEIR CHILD?

As parents, we naturally want to make life easier for our children. ❤ But when we always step in and solve every problem, we may unintentionally take away opportunities for them to learn.

They may struggle to develop:

- Problem-solving skills.

- Confidence and resilence.

- Independence

- Decision-making skills

- The ability to handle mistakes and setbacks.

Instead of immediately fixing the problem, try asking:

" what do you think you can do? "

Be their support, not their solution to everything.

A child who is allowed to struggle safely today can become an adult who knows how to face challenges tomorrow. ❤

🦋 WEDNESDAY DID YOU KNOW? | EVERYDAY MOMENTS MATTER 🌱

Learning doesn’t always need flashcards, fancy activities, or a perfectly planned lesson. Sometimes it’s already happening while you’re making breakfast. 💜

Talking together, reading a favorite book, singing in the car, comforting your little Butterfly through a big feeling, or playing that silly game they want to play for the 57th time 😂 can all create opportunities for learning AND connection.

Those ordinary moments matter.

Your little Butterfly is learning about language, relationships, emotions, and the world around them while you’re learning more about who they are and what they need.

🦋 TUESDAY’S CHILDCARE TIP | GIVE THEM TIME TO TRY 🌱

Sometimes one of the best ways to help your little Butterfly is to give them a moment before you help. 💜

Whether your baby is reaching for a toy, your toddler is trying to put on their shoes, or your preschooler is working on cleaning up, those extra few seconds can give them an opportunity to practice, problem-solve, and discover what they’re capable of.

And remember, you’re growing too! 🌱

You’re learning when your little Butterfly needs your help and when they simply need a little more time to figure it out.

That’s what September is all about:

🦋💜 Goodbye August, Hello September!

We’re saying one last goodbye to Back to School, Butterfly Style and getting ready for a brand-new chapter at Faith’s Butterfly Blog. 🌱

August was all about helping our little Butterflies adjust to new routines, build relationships, make safer choices, and grow more independent.

But September is about remembering something just as important:

They aren’t the only ones growing.

Parents are learning. 💕
Caregivers are learning. 🧸
Childcare teachers are learning. 🌱
Future parents and future childcare professionals are learning too.

So this September, we’re Growing Up Together: They’re Learning... and So Are You. 🦋

You don’t need to have everything figured out before caring for a child. There’s room for you to learn, adjust, build confidence, and grow right alongside your little Butterfly.
