Our History
At Northside, we have been partnering with Columbus area Christian parents in the training of students since 1971. We are a conservative, traditional, Christian school, seeking to maintain Biblical standards in all aspects of the educational process. NCS was established in order to provide Christian children

with an education of high academic quality in a thoroughly Christian atmosphere. Each member of the faculty is a born-again Christian, dedicated to serving the Lord through the ministry of teaching young people. The school consists of a preschool, kindergarten, elementary, junior and senior high school. NCS is registered annually with the state of Ohio under the copy Rule of 3301-35-08, which provides that NCS is a non-chartered, non-tax supported school. The information presented on this site is established by the Northside Christian School board, the governing body of the school appointed by the elders of Calvary Bible Church. Northside is owned and operated as a ministry of Calvary Bible Church. NCS enjoys membership in the Association of Christian Schools International.

🦁 Heard in Chapel: NCS Bible teacher and Associate Pastor of Calvary Bible Church Pastor Chazz introduced our theme of the year, Look to Jesus, from Hebrews 12:1-2, in our chapels today!

💙He shared our goals for chapel this year — every time we come to chapel we want to do 3 things:
1. Sit at the feet of Jesus
2. Experience the heart of Jesus
3. Share in the work of Jesus

He illustrated these points with a lesson from John 6:1-14, “the teacher and savior of the feast.”

“Most of you sitting here today feel like this: little, insignificant, insufficient, but as the hands and feet of Jesus, those two fish and five loaves of bread become a feast,” Pastor Chazz shared. “The little boy gave up control over what he had. And because he gave it up, he ended up eating far more than he ever would have! Because this boy placed them in the hands of Jesus he had an incredible feast. How do you do that today? It only works if we’re looking at Jesus.”

🦁Welcome to the Lion community! We’re excited to announce the appointment of Coach Alex Lemon as our new Head Coach for the Boys Varsity Basketball team this season! Coach Lemon, born and raised in Columbus, works for Columbus City Schools as an intervention aide and also owns his own business. He has previously coached at Bishop Hartley High School, Westerville Central High School, and Dublin Jerome High School. 🏀

“I am extremely excited and humbled for the opportunity to serve as Head Basketball Coach at Northside Christian,” Coach Lemon shared. “I envision building a program centered on Christ, where faith, character, discipline, accountability, and excellence guide everything we do. Our mission is to develop student-athletes spiritually, academically, mentally, and athletically while preparing them to become leaders on the court, in the classroom, in their families, and in their communities. We will compete with passion and purpose, embrace adversity, serve others, and represent our school with integrity and pride. While winning matters and we will strive to win championships, the most important factor will be the young men we build and develop. I’m excited for what God has in store and ready to maintain a culture of faith, family, and purpose that will last far beyond the basketball court.”
