In a recent teardown and repair video of the Keithley 2500 photodiode meter, The Signal Path uses Lake Shore's 𝗠81-𝗦𝗦𝗠 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 with the new 𝗦𝗠𝗨-10 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 as his working calibration-standard DC Voltage/Current reference to calibrate and validate the repair. The M81 and all modules also provide high AC sourcing to 100KHz plus the unique ability to measure DC, AC RMS and Lock-In detection simultaneously across up to 3 source, measure and SMU channels.

Shahriar also tests the Keithley 2500 photodetector by simulating active fiber alignment, using the SMU‑10 module to power an infrared LED.
