QTSD™ PRIVATE/PARTNER TRAINING (FALL):

QTSD™ Elite Technical Development Coach Joe Pennell and QTSD™ Technical Development Coach Darion Ruffin's private and partner training calendars for the Fall are now open!

Why private train during the club/HS season? Simply put, to help your player continue developing individually and building confidence.

Most team practices are focused on the group as a whole. Our expertise is providing professional, individualized feedback focused 100% on each athlete's potential and season goals.

Private training gives players the opportunity to build good habits, break bad ones, and build or rebuild confidence without the usual pressure of team practice, including peer opinion, fear of failure, and playing time concerns.

PS: 5x and 10x session packs are available!

PPS: There may or may not be an exciting announcement tomorrow morning at 8 am ... 😎⚽

QTSD™ High School Alternative Development Program (Girls Only)

Ahhh that wonderful time of the year - High School Soccer Tryout season! If your daughter is looking for alternatives to the high school soccer environment, we will be offering our QTSD™ "High School Alternative Development Program (GIRLS)" starting August 24th.

For 7 weeks, players will train twice per week (Mondays & Wednesdays) in 75 minute sessions that emphasize the four pillars of proper player development:

• Technical - Ball mastery, passing, receiving, finishing, and position-specific skills

• Tactical - Decision-making, game understanding, team principles, and match scenarios

• Psychological - Confidence, leadership, resilience, competitiveness, and mindset

• Physical - Speed, agility, coordination, movement control, and soccer-specific conditioning

This program is designed for female players who:

• Have chosen to opt out of high school soccer because they believe their school program will not best support their college or professional aspirations.

• Have chosen to opt out because they feel the high school environment may be toxic, diminish their confidence, or reduce their enjoyment of the game.

• Were unable to make their high school team due to large roster sizes, or attend a school that did not field a team.

• Are "trapped" 8th-grade players looking to train in a challenging, high-level environment before entering high school.

Enrollment is already open and players are starting to register for this professional alternative; providing a pathway to stay sharp, further their development, and most importantly, strengthen their self confidence/ love for the game!

"But when Pochettino first arrived following the team's group stage elimination at the 2024 Copa America, he was surprised at the lack of energy around the program.

"We were so naïve when we signed our contract," Pochettino said on Tuesday night during a roundtable with reporters.

"I think what we find after we sign, we misjudged the situation. It was worse than we really believed." He said that he thought people would be "desperate to help, to help everyone to be involved, come to the national team. No. It was the opposite." He added, "We received a big punch...'"

Admittingly, have we all played a part in this? As a life long fan of the game, it feels like we have all jokingly "accepted" the USMNT "will never win a World Cup".

But is that what we should be teaching our players, our athletes, and our families?

Shouldn't we be taking our youth to national team soccer development more seriously; stop accepting the status quo and mediocrity disguised as top level soccer?

Shouldn't we be working harder than ever to help share the passion for this sport combined with the potential our players, our team, and our nation as a soccer entity has?

Just food for thought after reading this great ESPN article.

Love this conversation about playoff format vs. a focus on every single league match. Whether a conversation about professional soccer or your local youth club, this should make you think.

So many issues arise when leagues are based on playoffs ... lack of true promotion/ relegation, inability to develop under more realistic education learning pathway (learn→quiz→re-learn→test→repeat), more financial cost to families (travel/ hotels/ food), the lack of ability to apply scientific based growth periodization, and much more.

FINAL DAYS TO SECURE YOUR SPOT FOR SUMMER 2026 TRAINING

QTSD™ Summer enrollment officially closes Saturday at 12:00 PM noon.

Every summer, serious players use these months to separate themselves technically, physically, and mentally before the fall season begins.

Whether you are:
• A collegiate athlete preparing for preseason (while limiting injury risk common in summer leagues)
• A high school player looking to enter tryouts sharper and more confident
• A youth player focused on building technical quality before next season

QTSD™ provides structured, high-standard training designed for committed players who want more (while maintaining a truly club-neutral training environment).

Enrollment closes Saturday (5/30) at 12:00 PM noon for:
• QTSD™ Collegiate Summer Training Program
• QTSD™ Academy / Academy (30+) / Academy (60+)
• QTSD™ Advanced Goalkeeper Development Program

If individual development/ self confidence is important to your family, this is the final opportunity to secure placement before groups are closed.

First the potential legal amendment against private equity buying into youth sports organizations and now a lawsuit against "stay to play" policies. Interesting time to be alive in youth soccer!

https://ussoccerparent.com/team-travel-source-stay-to-play-lawsuit/

Thoughts?

Youth sports parents just filed a stay‑to‑play lawsuit over hotel fees.
The case targets Team Travel Source and its mandatory booking rules.
Here’s what it could mean for families who travel for tournaments. Link 🔗 below👇 in comments
