Doodle Art & Design Doodle Art & Design is a teaching art studio and gallery and retailer of Artwork and Doodle Art merc We've yet to repeat a lesson!

Doodle Art & Design is excited to be back again this year offering lunchtime art classes at Field Park Elementary School starting on October 6th.
2nd & 3rd Grades will have class on Tuesdays.
4th & 5th Grades will have class on Wednesdays. Each week we will introduce your child to a different artist or art movement and a wide variety of materials. While the children eat lunch we show and discuss i

mages of the day's topic and project. We spend the rest of our time working on the project and each child will go home with a finished piece. While the time is short, the children learn to work quickly and efficiently. Some of the things we explored last year were architecture, designing consumer items, paper art, puppetry, sculpture and weaving. We worked with some fun and crazy materials from balloons and foil to clay and wire. We get the inspiration for our projects in different ways, such as from an interesting material, from the news, a work of art that caught our interest or an artist or art movement. Kathleen Thometz is an artist and freelance writer who holds degrees in English Literature and Fine Arts. She was co-chairwoman of the Field Park Art Appreciation program for six years, She currently writes The Accessible Artist blog for the RB Landmark and has contributed to themid.com. On the Doodle Art & Design page we will only post information about our classes and camps and pictures of our projects. To maintain our students privacy, there will be no photos of children.

I spend a good bit of time setting up the composition of something I’m considering painting. I rearrange furniture, ferret out props, even in hotel rooms. So I got a bunch of photos before breakfast and when I returned the sun was shining through the window and so I had to start over!
