Hello WMS Families,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Westerly Middle School!

We hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable summer break. As we embark on another exciting academic year, we are delighted to have students back in our classrooms, eager to learn, grow, and achieve.

WMS is a nurturing and challenging educational environment that fosters critical thinking, problem solving, and a love of learning. Our staff have been working diligently to prepare for the new school year, ensuring that our students have the resources and support they need to succeed socially, emotionally, and academically.

This year promises to be filled with new opportunities, experiences, and friendships. Whether you are a returning student or are joining us for the first time, know that you are a valuable part of our school community. We encourage you to embrace the challenges ahead, participate actively in your classes, and make the most of the extracurricular activities available to you. Coming to school every day, on time and ready to learn, will help you reach your goals.

Family partnerships are essential to the success of our students and our school. We value the support and involvement and encourage families to stay engaged with your child’s education.

One new and important change will be the district's move from Skyward to Powerschool as the student information system. This new system will be a key in communicating information.
