Valentines Tea was such a joy to host and experience with the children. They made such beautiful Valentines for one another. We loved being able to show our love for them through serving them treats and tea and helping them pass out their Valentines. We love being able to share special holidays with the children of Hidden Garden Preschool. They are loved! ❤️

We wish you a happy birthday, a joyous and celebrated birthday. To you dear child, we wish you a long, long life.

As a Waldorf Preschool we strive to make each student’s time with us meaningful and magical. Our birthday celebrations begin with our children being given a rainbow cap and handmade felt crown. Their parents are invited to join them on a story journey over the rainbow bridge. Parents are asked to share a bit about their child’s years of life and we get to honor who they are as an individual. Their friends then sing to them, we blow out the candles and eat delicious homemade lemon honey cake.

Birthdays are special because the children we get to spend our days with are special.
We hope we get to spend your child’s next trip around the sun with them.

We love our bunnies! We are so lucky to be a home based preschool and can give our students the experience of caring for beloved animals. Our bunnies, Parsley and Clover, are well fed from our garden daily. Today we had tea time with the bunnies.

Winter Spiral 2023. The winter spiral is ancient and symbolizes the inward-turning we tend to experience as the night grows longer and cold drives us indoors. The children light their candle and bring their light to the spiral to light the way for others. It shows us that even in the darkest of times we can find our light and help our community find their way to light as well. Thank you to our amazing community. We are so lucky to have one another to share our light with.

The first light of advent is the light of stones. Stones that live in seashells, crystals and bones. We were so lucky to be gifted geodes for the students to experience where crystals come from.

I go with my little lantern, my lantern is going with me. In heaven the stars are shining, on earth glows my lantern for me. The earth grows dim we must go in. Here are just a few photos from our Lantern walk on Friday. It was such a lovely celebration of community, sharing our light with others and coming together to share our lights with one another. Alone I am one little light, together we shine bright. We want to thank our Hidden Garden Community for always showing up beautifully for one another.

The fairies brought us special seed babies to plant our winter garden. We have had a wonderful time harvesting our summer garden, preparing the soil for our winter gardens and planting these past two weeks. What a beautiful gift to share the changing seasons with our students in a way that is connected to Mother Earth.

Last night we held a winter spiral ceremony to honor the winter solstice. The children each walked an evergreen spiral path, decorated with crystals, seashells, and stones. A magical Lady Light helped light each child’s candle in the center of the spiral, which they then placed on one of the stars along the path. Slowly the spiral began to fill with each child’s light. At the end of the ceremony, Lady Light gifted each child with a little bag of gemstones brought from fairyland. Such magic!
