Yogi with a day-job. Join me for free yoga on Monday mornings and get your week started on the right foot! RYT 200 through Sonic Yoga.

As a former dancer sustaining multiple back and shoulder injuries, I turned to yoga as a way to maintain physical wellness without compromising my well-being. I work closely with clients to address and alleviate symptoms of stress that manifest in the body through breath work, meditation and yoga. Results based on the combined values of empathy, flexibility, humor, and education. My journey continues as I work towards a 500hr certification.

There are approximately 428,000 children in foster care in the United States. Children in foster care often face emotional and psychological challenges as they try to adjust to new and often changeable environments. Some children with severe attachment disorders may exhibit signs of sleep disturbance.

I am humbled to be among the passionate volunteers involved with Precious Dreams Foundation helping to deliver comfort items and programs that teach self-soothing techniques to children navigating foster care and homeless shelters.

Join us on March 23 for a night of yoga to benefit this incredible cause.

It’s okay to be right here, right now.

I’ve been doing this a while, but I still have to remind myself of this all the time.

Recently this means stepping away from the desk, even when I’m juggling multiple projects at once so I can play in the wide open space of an empty office.

While many professionals in the space have gone fully remote, I’m still pushing myself to mask up and go to the office a few days a week. It gets me out of the apartment and gives me a reason to put non-yoga pants on.

Eka Pada Rajakapotasana aka Pigeon. This deep hip opening posture is typically reserved for the end of a yoga sequence, when the muscles are warm and loose - though supine variations are great in the morning when the body is still waking up.

I like to layer in a bunch of Warrior II's to warm up the muscles responsible for lateral hip rotation, so when I get into pigeon those muscles are too tired to resist which provides an amazing stretch to the inner thigh muscles and piriformis.

This posture has some serious energetic benefits as well. Depending on the variation, pigeon pose activates root, sacral, heart and crown chakras.
