Pretty hard to force a year full of memories/ experiences into just 20 shots, but if 2025 taught me anything it was that people make our moments and experiences that much more special. Not money, or any material goods, people and the emotions and knowledge we all share with one another.
From foraging classes that I both taught myself and with others including my good buddy , to learning from others about the land and plants/fungi and animals we share this beautiful world with (.craft thank you so much for what you do and the insanely detailed knowledge you put forward in the herbalism world).
To taking some beautiful trips this year, one of which was to Savannah, GA where the food and the environment was so welcoming and beyond flavor, not to mention the amount of urban foraging available down there was mind blowing (pic. 1 loquats were by far the best new sold ingredient I've found this year).
My sister got married and it was such a beautiful experience and reception to get to be a part of and have family together. And recently I found out that my younger sister will be having her first kid this upcoming year and I will be an uncle to a second niece!!!
Cooking at the Midwest wild harvest festival thanks to my good friend and legend , as well as .swensonschilling is always a great time and we all get to get together and cook for an amazing group of people in the wild food/survivalist world and I love the tradition it is seeming to become.
And coming back home to the best dog a man could ask for in Ozzy, where we rescued him from being abandoned in a field.
But all this year wouldn't have been possible though if it wasn't for the most wonderful and supportive person and partner . You've helped me see the man I can truly become and pushed me to follow my dreams, which will be a new chapter this year starting
Just goes to show that life is all what you make it and believe in, and none of it being possible if it wasn't for the support systems we all have around us! Cheers to 2026, love y'all! 💚🧡
