Literacy Month at Wildflower Preschool! 🌼
Throughout the month of March, we studied beloved authors and illustrators 📖 On Tuesday evening, we welcomed families for our first annual Literacy Night. It was a special celebration of our studies and beautiful illustrative artwork!
Highlights included:
-A collaborative paint on tissue paper mural inspired by Eric Carle
-Textured torn-paper collages inspired by Leo Lionni
-Embroidery and birdhouses inspired by Lois Ehlert
-Pulp paintings inspired by Denise Fleming
-Owl Moon illustrations inspired by Jane Yolen
-Paintings and collages inspired by Donald Crews
This month we also enjoyed felt boards, storytelling baskets, a visit from the Essex Library, and a special cooking experience paired with a read-aloud of "Pancakes, Pancakes!" by Eric Carle.
It's been our favorite month yet 💛
