The Westbrook LEARNS page includes program updates and information for parents to stay up to date! The program currently serves students in grades K-4.

This page will offer regular updates on Westbrook Community Center children's initiatives, such as the LEARNS before- and after-school program, summer camp, vacation camps, and other activities. Westbrook LEARNS is a comprehensive program that aims to provide high-quality programming at an affordable price for Westbrook residents. We incorporate goals like academic improvement, health and wellness, multi-cultural education, and parent engagement into our program. Our summer and vacation camps share many of the same goals as the LEARNS program. The Westbrook Community Center is excited to announce that Summer Camp 2026 registration for children entering Grades 1–6 for the 2026–2027 school year opens soon!

Our 8-week camp, which will run June 22-August 14, 7:30am-5:30pm, will be packed with themed activities, field trips, swimming, crafts, sports, and plenty of outdoor fun—all designed to give your child a summer full of memories, friendships, and adventure.

Registration Opening Dates:
• Westbrook Residents - Mon., Feb. 23 - 8am
• Non-Residents - Mon., Mar. 23 - 8am

Registration will take place online only at: www.WestbrookCommunityCenter.org

Camp Notes:
- Families may register for one week or the entire summer—whatever fits their schedule!
- Themes include: Wild West • Party in the USA • Around the World • Adventure Week • Winter in July • Sports • Color Week • Carnival Week
- Each week will also feature a special field trip or on-site event, all included in your camp fee.

Due to weather and storm clean-up, Westbrook Schools are delayed this morning, Tuesday, January 27, which also means no morning programs and activities between 7-11am — including the LEARNS before-school program, group aquatics classes, and swim lessons — at the Westbrook Community Center.

Weather conditions and the forecast will be monitored, and additional cancellations may occur throughout the day. All storm-related notifications will be posted online at www.WestbrookCommunityCenter.org and on the Westbrook Community Center's page. You may also call the Reception & Information Center during normal reception hours, 5:30am-4pm, at 207.854.0676, or e-mail [email protected].

Some tenants and businesses located at the facility may use different weather protocols. When in doubt, please contact your supervisor or program instructor.

Our admin offices will open as usual at 7:30am.

Due to the impending winter snowstorm in the forecast for later today and overnight, Westbrook City Hall, the Westbrook Community Center, and the Walker Memorial Library will be CLOSED all day on Monday, January 26!

Camp is open to students entering grades 1-6 in the Fall and will run for eight weeks, from Monday, June 23, thru Friday, August 15, 7:30am-5:30pm each day. Please note that there will be NO camp on July 4.

Expect exciting theme weeks, weekly field trips, special guests, outdoor games, arts & crafts, storytelling, swimming, an end-of-summer talent show, interactive games, and so much more!

Non-residents may register, subject to availability, starting on Tuesday, March 11.

For more information, including fees, required deposits, final payment dates, specific instructions, a list of field trips and themes, and to register, please visit:

Before and During Registration:
• Confirm that you can log into your existing account without any problems.
• Make sure that the child(ren) you intend to register for camp are listed on your household account, along with their current grade. (current grades should be K-5) To update grades only, contact Reception by calling 207.854.0676 or e-mailing [email protected].
• Review and update your contact information on your account, including your e-mail address, phone number, and mailing address, to ensure you receive all important summer camp updates.
• You will not be able to register your child if there is an outstanding balance; please ensure that any past due account balances are settled.
• During the registration process, please complete ALL prompts.

Don't forget to review and update any information that might have been transferred from previous programs.
