Plastic bottles and juice boxes are easily recycled after throwing the wrapper and straw in the garbage.

Make sure the container is fully empty before you recycle it, as this can contaminate the whole batch of recyclables!

Take-out is a fast and convenient way to skip cooking and washing dishes, but it comes with a lot of extra waste. Luckily, the City of Toronto recycling facilities accept Styrofoam containers.

Make sure you clean any food residue before recycling. Otherwise it will ruin batches of otherwise good recyclables.

To kick off the Blue Bin Project is our Coffee Cup Infographic.

Coffee is the most popular hot beverage and the number one food service beverage in Canada. 14 billion cups of coffee are consumed in Canada every year, and 35% of coffee is consumed in single-use disposable cups.

Disposable cups, lids and other coffee related products make up a significant amount of waste sent to landfills. Let's work to reduce this unnecessary waste by recycling the lids and sleeves!
