My 5-year-old watched these Hogna maderiana pairing and asked if they were dancing…

Then came the follow-up: “To make babies?” 😂

Well… she’s not wrong.

This is wolf spider courtship in action, and apparently she understood faster than I could explain it.

Would you call it dancing? 🕷️

You all kept telling me to put them back… so I finally listened. 😂

Eggsac successfully unopened. Babies returned. Mom will never know.

Everybody happy now? 😂

Would you try taking an eggsac from a protective OBT? 👀

Cheeto has done exactly what she was supposed to do… guard this eggsac with everything she has. Slaps, threat poses, and absolutely no interest in handing it over.

Pterinochilus murinus… Orange Baboon Tarantula (OBT)

Today was rehousing day, and every one of these little fluffballs got a new home. At first glance they look similar, but there are multiple species in this video.

Can you tell them apart? In order to make this video not two hours long I only added a few clips. Honestly, I have only a vague idea which is which 😅

Here is the list of species we rehoused.

* Avicularia huriana
* Avicularia juruenensis
* Avicularia minatrix
* Avicularia “Mardi Gras”
* Avicularia merianae

This is Boov. One of our young Caribena versicolor females. She likes to “come into the out now”

So rehousings are always entertaining when Boov is involved!
