IALF is a coordinated, statewide approach by business, education and the agriculture industry that is designed by augment and aggregate existing agriculture education efforts while encouraging new efforts that promote agriculture literacy in Iowa schools. IALF's overall goal is to serve as a centralized resource to help increase the knowledge and awareness of today's agriculture and its importance for students.

Happy National Corn on the Cob Day! ๐ŸŒฝ
Many people do not realize the difference between field corn and sweet corn. Only 1% of the corn planted is sweet corn, the delicious vegetable you eat on the cob! The other 99% of the corn grown in Iowa is field corn that is processed into cereal, starch, oil, syrup, and other products.
