With permission from his mom, we are making you aware of a recent development regarding a 2023 Valley track and field alum:
Good evening, Coach- I know we haven't spoken since Jaleel graduated, but he always thought so highly of you and the other track coaches. I wanted to reach out because Jaleel has been in a very serious e-scooter/car accident. When he was crossing the street, a lady ran a red light to turn left and they collided. He has been on life support and in a medically induced coma since 09/01 here in Charlotte, NC. I am not sure when he will improve, but he will have a long recovery journey ahead of him. My family and I want to spread the news to his classmates and families - if there is an opportunity to partner in some way to help raise funds for Jaleel's recovery would be appreciated.
