Ready to Learn. Ready to Excel.

At St. Francis, our students are eager to learn and ready to put their skills into action! Whether they’re working together on a group presentation, diving into a hands-on STEM project, or showing what they’ve learned on a test, our students rise to the occasion.

We’re proud to see our students embrace challenges, work together, and strive for academic excellence. Their curiosity and determination remind us that learning is an adventure—and there’s always something new to discover!

FrancisFest is back—and this year, we have even more to celebrate!

For 35 years, St. Francis of Assisi has been a place where people come together to worship, grow in faith, serve others, and build community.
Now it’s time to celebrate!

Join us for FrancisFest on Sunday, October 4, as we celebrate our parish family and the many blessings God has given us over the past 35 years.

The celebration begins with 11:30 am Mass, followed by an afternoon of free food, family fun, bingo, bounce houses, parish groups and our annual pet blessing.

Whether you’ve been part of St. Francis for 35 years or you’re brand new, you’re part of this family—and we’d love to celebrate with you!

The learning never stops at St. Francis!

It’s always a joy to see our students participate in Mass. As they gather together to worship and praise God, they’re also putting their classroom skills into practice—from public speaking and reading to singing in the choir.

Every Mass is another opportunity for our students to grow in confidence, use their gifts, and strengthen their faith. And what a beautiful gift it is to hear their voices raised in praise!

At St. Francis, faith and learning go hand in hand.

Picture Day was a success!

Everyone was dressed to impress, flashed their best smiles, and brought plenty of personality to Picture Day!

We can’t wait to see all those smiles come together in this year’s yearbook. Say cheese!

It’s great learning about the saints during Mass!

Today, Fr. Protas taught our students about St. Peter Claver, a Jesuit priest who dedicated his life to serving enslaved people and became known as the “slave to the slaves.”

St. Peter Claver saw people who were suffering and brought what he could—his time, compassion and care.

His example gives our students something to think about: How can we bring what we have to those who are in need?

Whether it’s welcoming a new student, helping a classmate, serving our community, or reaching out to those who are vulnerable, there are countless ways we can follow St. Peter Claver’s example.

How do you grow closer to God?

It’s a question Fr. Kramer is asked often. His answer usually begins with another question:

“Do you have any friends?”

Of course! And how did those friendships grow? Through conversation.

Our relationship with Jesus grows the same way. We grow closer to Him by talking with Him through prayer—sharing our joys, struggles, fears, hopes, and everything in between.

But there is another important part of every conversation: listening.

After you speak, take a moment to sit in the silence. Put away the distractions. Quiet your heart. And simply listen.

You may be surprised by what happens when you give God the space to speak.

Learning from Our Priests

We love having our priests spend time with our students and share lessons that bring our Catholic faith to life!

Earlier this week, Fr. Kramer taught our students about our patron saint, St. Francis of Assisi, and the San Damiano Cross. Students discovered some fascinating facts about St. Francis, including his birth name, Giovanni (John), and his connection to the early development of the Church’s canonization process.

We’re grateful for priests like Fr. Kramer who take the time to teach, share, and help our students grow in their faith!

It can be easy to compare ourselves to the people around us.

I wish I had what they have.
Why does everything seem easier for them?
Why can’t I be more like them?

But our faith reminds us that our worth isn’t found in what we have, what we wear, or how we compare to others. Our identity is found in Christ.

At SFA, we strive to keep our eyes on what matters most: the One who brings us together.
