📸🏆 The WDMCS Photo Bracket Challenge is BACK!
Beginning Monday, July 6, head over to the WDMCS Instagram Story to vote on your favorite photos from the 2025-26 school year. We’ve rounded up the top 16 photos—now it’s up to you to help crown the champion!
Make sure to check in every Monday and Thursday for the next two weeks to vote on the latest matchups. We’ll announce the winners of each round on Tuesday and Friday and the winner will be announced Friday, July 17.
Which moment will take home the title this year? Stay tuned, get ready to vote, and let the fun begin!

West Des Moines Community Schools presents PAWSitive Impact appreciation awards to staff members and volunteers who live out our mission to educate, empower, and inspire lifelong learners every day. A whopping 43 individuals were honored for May 2026, including the following five staff members from Jordan Creek: Pamela Ballard - Art, Chad Jamison - Assistant Principal, Kendra Limback - Teacher Librarian, Leslie Perrigo - 6th grade Teacher, and Char Rosen - 1st Grade Teacher.
Congratulations to each of these incredible staff members for all the ways you continue to Educate, Empower, and Inspire our students daily. All recipients were chosen through an open nomination process and received a certificate, nomination narrative, and PAWSitive Impact sticker. Nominations for the 2026-27 school year will reopen in the fall.

🎉Welcome to Jordan Creek, Principal Pierce!
Brandon Pierce, current principal at Fairmeadows Elementary, will become our next principal. Mr. Pierce is the most-experienced elementary principal at WDMCS, anchoring his work to a passion for inclusion, belonging, and support of each student.

It was an honor to celebrate our 6th grade graduating Class of 2026 today at school, and at their class party after. Thank you to all our staff and families who helped out and were able to join us. Best wishes to our new 7th graders. We look forward to celebrating all of you again at Seniors Come Home in 2032.
