And every dollar funds honest, medically accurate s*x education for Iowa's youth.

Awkward to Awesome: Core Skills is Monday, Sept 21. S*x Ed Staples: Core Content is Tuesday, Sept 22. Both in person in West Des Moines, and both count toward your Certified S*xual Health Educator (CSHE) credential.

You don't need to have it all figured out to walk in. That's what the day is for. You'll leave ready to handle the tough questions, hold your boundaries, and teach the content with confidence.

Awkward to Awesome (Sept 21) is the how: facilitating tough questions, holding your boundaries, staying steady when a conversation goes sideways. S*x Ed Staples (Sept 22) is the what: accurate, current content you can put to use Monday morning. Take one, or take both to round out your whole toolkit.

The new fetal development video requirement (SF175) is here, and EyesOpenIowa is making compliance simple. We consulted Iowa OB/GYN physicians and national partners to recommend scientifically accurate, classroom-appropriate videos that meet the law: National Geographic's Pregnancy 101 and Britannica's How an Embryo Develops into a Fetus. New compliant videos are also available from Health Care Education & Training.
