After more than 7 years of training with us, Nakul and his younger brother Dev will be moving overseas.

Nakul has been a wonderful example in our dojang as a black belt, a sparring team member, and a leader for our younger students. Dev has also grown with us through the years, always bringing a bright attitude, steady effort, and many great memories to our dojang.

Watching students walk through our doors for the first time, grow step by step, and become positive examples for others is one of the most meaningful parts of what we do. Saying goodbye is never easy, especially after sharing so many years together, but the memories and lessons we shared will always stay with us.

Even from far away, we believe the connection we share through Taekwondo will continue. Nakul and Dev, we are so proud of you both, and we will always be cheering for you wherever your journey takes you.

And we truly believe that one day, we will meet again.

You will always be part of our Black Eagle family! ♥️

The journey to Nationals begins.

This week, 17 athletes from Black Eagle Martial Arts are traveling to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to compete at the 2026 AAU National Championships.

Behind every competitor is a story of hard work, discipline, and perseverance. These athletes have earned the opportunity to compete on one of the biggest stages in AAU Taekwondo, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Compete with confidence.
Respect everyone.
Support your teammates.
Leave everything on the mat.

No matter the outcome, you will always represent Black Eagle with pride.

This weekend, Master Lexi will be competing at the USAT American Open East in Philadelphia in the Individual and Team Poomsae divisions.

She has trained hard and is ready to showcase her skills on the national stage. Please join us in supporting and cheering her on as she proudly represents Black Eagle Martial Arts.

You are such a genuine and caring person, and the way you always support and encourage everyone around you means so much to all of us.

Your positivity, kindness, and energy make a huge difference in our dojang every day. So many students look up to you not only as an instructor, but also as a person. The way you care for people and always cheer others on is something really special.

Thank you for always giving your best and for being such an important part of the Black Eagle family. We’re truly grateful for everything you do.

We want to share something really special coming to DSM! 🇰🇷

Master Brandon’s mom, Mama Son, recently started a small kimchi business called MamaSon Kimchi(), and we’re excited to share it with our community.

She spent her whole life running a restaurant and cooking, and now she’s making kimchi the same way, in small batches, using traditional Korean recipes and decades of experience.

It’s not mass-produced, and you can really taste the difference. Just clean, authentic kimchi made with care.

They’ll be offering local delivery around Des Moines and nearby areas, with orders opening in early May.

With grateful hearts, we are happy to share that our baby boy was born on April 24th, 2026.

Mom and baby are both healthy, and we feel truly blessed and thankful for all the love, prayers, and support from our Black Eagle family and friends.

Last weekend, 19 athletes proudly represented Black Eagle at the AAU Minnesota Championship.

We achieved outstanding results and received tremendous support and recognition throughout the day. But more importantly, what stood out the most was not the medals. It was the strength of our team, the way everyone supported one another, and the unity we showed from start to finish.

Athletes, coaches, and families came together as one team and created something truly special.
That kind of teamwork and spirit is what makes us proud to represent our school wherever we go.

Thank you to every athlete who gave their best effort, all the coaches who guided and prepared the team, and every family member who stood behind them with encouragement and support. We are truly grateful. 🙏

Next stop: Kansas. Let’s keep working hard!

We are excited to announce that Master Seyoung Kim, a former captain of the Kyung Hee University Poomsae Team and athlete for the Pocheon City Hall Team, is joining Black Eagle. Join us in giving her a warm welcome!

Master Seyoung has earned numerous national competition awards and brings extensive coaching experience, and her guidance will help our students perform at their best and achieve outstanding results this season.

She will be with us from April through June, providing expert coaching and valuable growth opportunities for our team.

We are excited to welcome Master Seyoung to Black Eagle!
