Hey if anyone is looking for math help over google meet or zoom, I am willing to do half hour increments since there is no travel involved. I taught 40 minute class periods to 30 students at a time so I think I could probably accomplish a good amount in a half hour with just one student if that is something anyone is interested in!

Hi I am Renee Venaas, former math teacher now stay-at-home mom of 3 and substitute teacher. I am originally from southeast Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a certificate to teach 5-12 math. I taught 7 full years at Southeast Polk CSD from 2011-2018 teaching algebra and 8th grade math. I have tutored students over the years in Geometry, pre Algebra, Algebra, and Algebra 2 but am certified to teach more. I came home from teaching to take care of my now 4 year old, 3 year old, and 2 year old. I miss teaching math so much I am willing to spend a few hours away from my littles to do something I love on nights or weekends and help anyone I can in the process.

I am available to tutor 1 on 1 or small groups in person or online for $30-50 per hour (depending on homework help, test prep, new material etc). I live in West Des Moines but willing to travel the DM area if willing to pay a little bit more for gas/time.

I know this school year coming up looks different for a lot of people so I am willing to try video tutoring and/or in person with mask and sanitizing etc.
