We're excited to welcome the second incoming cohort of students in the Mercer County Community College Certificate of Achievement program in partnership with Camden Promise Charter School!

Yesterday, students attended orientation and toured the laboratory at Cooper University Hospital, getting an early look at the profession they'll be preparing to enter. Over the next year, they'll develop skills in phlebotomy and medical laboratory assisting while earning college credit all before graduating from high school.

Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible to sit for national certification exams and will gain valuable clinical experience, providing a strong foundation for careers in laboratory medicine and other healthcare professions.

A heartfelt thank you to one of our partners, Cooper University Hospital, for helping inspire the next generation of laboratory professionals. We can't wait to watch this outstanding group grow throughout the year!

Congratulations to our Mercer County Community College Medical Laboratory Technology Professional Phase students who took time this past week to celebrate this exciting milestone at the 59th Annual Commencement Ceremony at the CURE Insurance Arena! 🎓🩺🧪

While commencement marks an incredible achievement, these students still have important clinical experiences ahead as they continue developing the hands-on skills required of future laboratory professionals. We are so proud of their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to patient care and laboratory medicine.

We also look forward to officially celebrating them again in August when they earn their MLT diplomas and participate in our Programs Pinning Ceremony at the Kelsey Theatre. ❤️

Prof. Shave and her newest little one were especially grateful to be able to cheer everyone on through the livestream and celebrate this special moment from afar.
